Jinting is a producer, engineer, songwriter, vocalist, advocate, and strategist for the music industry with over 20 years of experience in music – from the creative to the technical to the administrative.
She is a two-time Canadian Idol-ist and former Sony Music Taiwan pop recording artist. With classical music training but sharp and diverse expertise across multiple popular music genres, Jinting is highly skilled and trusted by artists and especially vocalists – from hiphop to musical theatre to K-pop – to help them achieve their greatest musical potential.
Jinting is in equal measure creative and technical. She combines her extensive experience as a professional singer and successful songwriter with her comprehensive knowledge in production and audio engineering, equipping her with a skill set that is uncommonly adaptive to the needs of each individual artist.
She has produced and engineered for acclaimed and dynamic Canadian artists like Canada’s Walk of Fame honouree Jully Black, Tea G, Elle McAndrews, Arlo Maverick, and Kuzi Cee. As a songwriter, she has written with countless artists and cowriters from around the world – Canada, the United States, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Puerto Rico and beyond. She has collaborated with Billboard charting writers and producers such as Dystinkt Beats (Nicki Minaj, Lil Tecca), Aliby (Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR), and John Acosta (Sky, Sugar Jones). Her work has also been featured on CityTV, Crave, Amazon Prime, NHL broadcasts, and other media formats.
Jinting leads the development of educational and professional development programming at Up In Arms to help creatives in Edmonton and far beyond improve their craft and strengthen the music ecosystem. She is a sought after speaker on creative/music industry strategy and diversity, including for the University of Colorado, Macewan University, University of California Riverside, Breakout West, 2024 MixNik Audio Engineering conference (Atlanta), and Reeperbahn Festival (Hamburg, Germany). Jinting is also an expert in navigating the complexities and bureaucracies of grants and funding resources in Alberta and beyond, and provides invaluable strategic advice to help maximize the success in funding the next steps of your artistic journey.
