Room 13: frequently asked questions
Well, the room isn’t going to fit Tonto or your Terry Bozzio replica drumkit, but yeah! You can bring in any gear you need. Just plug in into our interface, or bring your own and connect it our system.
Please keep in mind that there are only two available mic/line inputs on our Apollo Twin and UA Volt. If you’re planning on using the microphone, you’ll only have one input available.
Absolutely. All of our engineers are qualified to run a session using our Pro Tools rigs on site.
If you have a preferred DAW, you are welcome to ask our team for assistance; however, we can’t make any guarantees on the efficiency levels of our engineers for any DAW other than Pro Tools.
If your engineer has their own laptop, they are welcome to use whatever DAW they choose. They can even plug into our interface and take advantage of the epic sound quality.
Yes and No. All of Up In Arms’ plugins are licensed for use on our in-house workstations only.
However, if you have Universal Audio’s free software, you can access to all of Up In Arms’ UA Powered plugins when you’re connected to Room 13’s UA interface!
The computers running our DAWs and plugins are in a networked RAID format, backed up daily.
If you are using your own laptop, we cannot control your backup regiment.
Room 13’s backups remain available for a maximum of 3 months. All session files are then purged in order to ensure the machine is running at maximum efficiency for all Up In Arms’ clients who use Room 13.
We recommend that anyone using Room 13 bring a hard drive of their own to back up session files and ensure the integrity of their session work.
Not at this time.
There is room for two people to sit comfortably in the studio, along with an engineer at the recording desk. We recommend only bringing people into your session that are going to help you get your best work done!
Yes – all payments are made through our secure booking system and can be made with Paypal or Credit Card.
As long as you notify us within 24 hours of your reserved time, a full refund will be issued back to your original payment method.
